College of Public Health students learn about the emerging field of equine assisted psychotherapy (EAP) in associate clinical professor Vicki Kirsch’s advanced Trauma and Recovery course.

Through a grant from Arts Fairfax, George Mason University students and faculty are helping youth in the Fairfax Detention Center express themselves through poetry.

Ashanti Mumin joined George Mason University Police and Public Safety in February 2022. He worked for the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office for four years and has a background in responding to mental health crises.

Mason’s 2023 Green Game was held on January 25, 2023, when the women’s basketball team competed against the University of Rhode Island at EagleBank Arena with 868 fans in attendance.

Jeffery W. Keller, Mason alum and high school history teacher, is currently pursuing his PhD in education and is the 2024 Virginia Teacher of the Year.

In congratulating the largest public university graduating class in state history, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin and Mason President Gregory Washington shared a message of renewal and growth at Mason’s Spring Commencement on Thursday, May 18.

Green isn’t just a school color at George Mason University. At Mason, “green” is way of life, and sustainability is central to the university’s mission.

Whether it is pressing deadlines, overwork, or employees feeling they are not being supported, anger in a work environment can be unavoidable. Over time, the anger and frustration can compound, causing anger to spread through the entire team or organization, creating what George Mason University expert Mandy O’Neill calls a “culture of anger.”

The largest school naming gift in the university’s history, part of a $1B fundraising effort, will support Mason’s growing entrepreneurship and innovation programs.
