The effort is one designed not just to meet current needs but to shape a stronger, more equitable future for health care in the commonwealth.

In May, a George Mason University law student, working with the Mason Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic (M-VETS), advocated for a U.S. combat veteran before an administrative law judge at a hearing before the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA). 

George Mason University economics professor and alumnus Tyler Cowen, BS Economics ’83, has been named one of TIME magazine’s 100 most influential people in philanthropy.

Each year, Mason Nation unites for 24 hours to support the mission and vision of George Mason University. Mason Vision Day 2025 encouraged donors to support what means the most to them. They came forward in record numbers—with record-breaking results.

The Governor’s School at Innovation Park, located at George Mason University’s Science and Technology Campus, holds a special distinction: It’s Virginia’s only academic-year Governor’s School located on a four-year college campus. That means that high school juniors and seniors spend part of each school day experiencing life as George Mason University students. The Governor’s School at Innovation Park celebrates its 15th anniversary this year.
