Mercedes Allsop

Mercedes Allsop is the Executive Assistant to the Dean’s Office at the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University. Before joining Mason, Mercedes served as a U.S. Marine for 20 years where she held positions as a Recruiting Station Supervisor, Internal Controls Audit Chief and Lead Finance Auditor. Mercedes also spent time in the Middle East working with military civil affairs groups, where she worked with local leaders and residents to help stabilize and rebuild communities from the impact of military operations. Most recently, Mercedes worked for at a local non-profit organization the DC Metro area where she developed and implemented programs that helped improve the quality of life of residents in the DC Metro area and in the East Africa region of Kenya.
