There will be plenty of time for studying, tests, and papers for George Mason University's largest and most diverse incoming class. But on Friday, it was all smiles as the students were welcomed to campus at the New Student Convocation.
"The world is here," President Gregory Washington said to the students. "You'll have the opportunity to engage it like nowhere else in the country. Mason is a place where the only limits are the limits you place on yourself."
At more than 4,400 students, this incoming freshman class is the largest and most diverse freshman class in Mason history.
