The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship within the School of Business held The Business of Well-Being Week from April 12-16, 2021. The Business of Well-Being Week is a full week of learning, researching, and celebrating the business of well-being. Events included: 

  • Plant based protein taste test
    Plant-Based Protein Taste Test

    Plant-Based Protein Taste Test: featuring the Dunkin Donuts Beyond Sausage Breakfast Sandwich and the Starbuck’s Impossible Sausage Breakfast Sandwich. Students, Alumni, and the Mason Community who joined us in the grab-n-go breakfast event helped to collect delicious data on taste, smell, and mouthfeel of the featured products.

  • Local Farm Tour: Visiting Whitehall Farms, LLC in Clifton, VA, Mason students gained a better understanding of the challenges and rewards of operating a family-owned sustainable 200+ acre farm in the heart of Fairfax County.
  • The Business of Physical Well-Being with Jimmy Martin, Co-Founder of Brrrn: A unique look into the connected, cool climate fitness niche, the Center spent time with Jimmy, discussing raising funds for his start up and his digital pivot when the Covid-19 pandemic hit.   • Smart People Still Read Books Book Club, Business of Well-Being Edition: Book Club members assembled on Zoom to discuss Dan Buettner's The Blue Zones, sharing their takeaways and goals for living a longer, more fulfilling life.     The Business of Financial Well-Being with Jason Howell, President of Jason Howell Company: The Center's second featured speaker discussed Sustainable, Responsible, Impact Investing (SRI), his time at Mason, and important financial benchmarks that prospective investors should meet.   • The Business of Well-Being Video Showcase 2021: From a dating app to a tutoring service to an organization focused on the mental well-being of refugees and immigrants, the 2021 Showcase featured Mason student and alumni early-stage ventures as well as established start-ups.
