Mason is launching a brand awareness called “The Secret’s Out,” which aims to reintroduce Mason to Northern Virginia and to remind the on-campus community, alumni and supporters how Mason has emerged as an educational, cultural and economic driver over the past half-century.

George Mason University grew its number of Pell Grant-receiving students by the fifth-largest total in the country over the past five years, the American Talent Initiative announced last week in a progress report that tracks enrollment of lower-income students at the ATI’s 130 member institutions.

Fifty-three weeks after it was moved to Holton Plaza to make way for construction related to the Core Campus Project, the iconic George Mason statue was returned to its home on George Mason University’s Wilkins Plaza.

George Mason University’s Schar School of Policy and Government will launch its new Race, Politics, and Policy Center in Fall 2021 under the leadership of Professor Michael Fauntroy. Fauntroy, who taught at Mason for 11 years before joining the faculty at Howard University in 2013, returned to Mason in June.

INTO Mason offers both undergraduate and graduate pathway programs for international students who want to study at Mason. A partnership between Mason and INTO University Partnerships, INTO Mason supports a diverse group of students, according to its website, “from application to graduation.”

As companies throughout the country transition from remote work back to the office, employers can help their employees through the process by giving them a voice and options, said George Mason University School of Business professor Victoria Grady.

George Mason University is well represented among the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine.

The two-year program allows enlisted servicemembers from every branch of the military to prepare for medical school.
