Serving as the Provost and Executive Vice President of George Mason University, and earlier in my Mason career as Dean of the College of Education and Human Development, has been the greatest honor, and privilege, of my career. As I leave to become the 15th President of Towson University, the second largest public university in Maryland and a unit of the University System of Maryland, I thank my Mason colleagues, and our outstanding students, for your support. You have helped to make my Mason journey an incredible experience and for our university to become a home for me.
As often is said, “Once a Patriot, always a Patriot.” And now, as Professor Emeritus, I am thrilled that I forever will be a Mason Patriot.
