Mason Credits

For these dual enrollment courses to be fully accepted by colleges, students MUST actually complete all steps in the application process and receive Mason credit. Colleges will typically not count these courses as pre-requisites unless the student has the credits on a college transcript.

Credit is NOT be awarded retroactively. It is only awarded during the semester in which the class is taken.

Taking Additional Courses at Mason:

After taking dual enrollment courses, if students wish to take a higher-level course on Mason’s campus or online, this is considered a non-degree course and students must fill out the Mason non-degree application and follow that process. The cost for this course will be the same as a typical Mason course.

All college credit pre-requisites must be met to take these higher-level courses. Students must complete the entire application process during the semester in which they take their dual-enrollment course to receive college credit.
