Are there plans to help freshman students meet people and form a community?

I lead a registered student organization. Can my organization members meet?

Some co-curricular events and programs will be held in person, and staff are determining which modifications are needed to follow public health requirements.

Members of student organizations that plan events must take event management training by September 20, 2020.

Organizations can set up contactless check-in via Mason 360.

Will there be restrictions on access to buildings and recreation centers?

  • You'll need a Mason ID card to get access to some buildings.
  • Only residents and workers will be allowed in Mason residence halls; we're sorry, but you can't have guests.
  • Recreation facilities and pools will be open, but you'll need to follow health and safety guidelines while exercising or participating in an athletic event. Locker rooms and some other amenities will remain closed.
  • University Libraries will provide networked resources and services, and will expand and enhance them when possible. Digital collections are accessible and other digitally-enabled services will be delivered without interruption. How can I access Student Services?

All student services will be offered both virtually and face-to-face. The university will post signs notifying customers and employees of additional precautions required in service areas.

When will the Mason Card Office be open if I need a new ID?

The office will be open for limited hours. Go to the Mason ID website or email the card site for information.

The Presidents Park Greenhouse will accept volunteer workers this fall. The facility grows produce, such as lettuce and herbs, that is served in Mason's dining halls.
